About Us
The Dundas Lioness are an all women’s club that is an affiliate of Lions Club International.
Originally known as the Dundas Lionettes Club, we gained our charter in 1977 and became The Dundas Lioness Club. Since then we have raised thousands of dollars for local causes and charities and sponsored the training for several guide dogs!
Lioness Clubs assess the needs within the community of Dundas and respond with Fundraising projects t o support causes such as hospice, meals on wheels, recreation needs by donating to existing groups and various charitable organizations doing the work!
In addition to regular annual projects (see the “Events” page), the Dundas Lioness Club has:
• placed in area parks, playground equipment, especially for the handicapped
• sponsored a girls T-Ball team
• installed a sprinkler system in the Little League baseball diamond
• donated to Camp Dorset and Lake Joseph
• maintained a list of donations to be made at Christmas
Routes Youth Center
In 2024 we hosted a fall craft show with proceeds raised going to the Dundas Routes Youth Center who support local afterschool events for teenagers.
